In SK105, you’ll have the chance to acclimate to University study and gain valuable skills for success in your time at Maynooth.

A focus on information literacy and writing ensures that you’ll be prepared for the challenges ahead. Learn to locate credible information and write in a way that will persuade your audience. Over the 12 week semester, you’ll gain the following:

  • Study and Organizational Skills – Stay on track in your academic and professional life with valuable tools to assist your success
  • Information Literacy – Learn how to locate relevant and credible information across a wide variety of topics
  • Writing Process – Avoid the anxiety associated with writing by focusing on a process that will help you craft meaningful essays
  • Public Speaking – Learning to speak in professional settings is a crucial skill to develop and SK105 provides the perfect low-stakes environment to practice
